『Yearn for the Mines』
Laiden with fresh rocks, an Ofunato bound limestone train leaves Nagaiwa Mine on its downhill run to the harbor.
Nagaiwa Mine opened in the 1930's as an open pit mine, primarily extracting limestone for Taiheiyo Cement in Ofunato. The loadout will fill 13-18 trains with about 8,000 tons of limestone per day. Trains tend to load pretty quick, and turnarounds can be a little as 15 minutes from arrival, loading, to departure.
Efficient Japanese freight trains, water is wet... they're one in the same.
